Spencer P. Yaffe is an attorney in the Baltimore, Maryland office. With over 230 trials, Spencer understands how to build a case for success. Spencer grew up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He attended Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Florida, where he graduated summa cum laude. Spencer attended the University of Baltimore School of Law, where he graduated cum laude.
In addition to school, Spencer practiced and taught emergency medicine for over 10 years on everything from boats and helicopters to ambulances and disaster responses. He still holds an active EMT certification. This experience gives him a unique perspective on his clients’ cases as he has treated many of the injuries his clients may have.
Spencer incorporates all of these experiences to his clients’ advantage: he speaks English with his clients, legalese with attorneys, and medicine with doctors.
Prior to joining Mike Slocumb Law Firm, Spencer worked at a firm advocating for victims of catastrophic medical malpractice where he specialized in pediatric, neonatal, and robotic surgery malpractice. Spencer also spent three years as an Assistant State’s Attorney where he handled thousands of criminal cases.
When not advocating for his clients, Spencer can often be found on his pride and joy: a 1963 Pearson sailboat. He also enjoys SCUBA diving, whiskey, and the Philadelphia Eagles.
