Before joining Slocumb Law, Donovan served as an Assistant District Attorney in Tennessee, where he successfully prosecuted cases, collaborated with law enforcement, and skillfully managed a high caseload. His prior roles as a federal court extern and public defender extern deepened his understanding of complex criminal and civil matters, further enhancing his ability to secure favorable outcomes for his clients.
Donovan’s comprehensive legal experience is complemented by his leadership in government operations and community engagement. As Director of Operations for the Knox County Trustee Office, he streamlined tax relief programs and led key financial compliance initiatives. His commitment to serving others is evident through his involvement in organizations like TN Achieves and the Downtown Knoxville Rotary, where he fosters mentorship and civic engagement.
Donovan earned his Juris Doctor from The University of Tennessee College of Law, where he concentrated in trial practice and public policy, and his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Centre College.
