Devita Mohandeo is an attorney at the Mike Slocumb Law Firm’s Baltimore, MD office.
Devita was raised in Mount Vernon, NY. After graduating from Nellie A. Thornton High School, Devita attended the University at Albany for two years. She then transferred to Penn State Harrisburg, where she graduated with a Political Science degree. Shortly after, Devita started law school at the University of Baltimore School of Law.
Throughout her time in law school, Devita was a Legal Intern at Maryland Volunteer Lawyers Service and a Law Clerk at Maryland Legal Aid. In 2022, Devita served as a Rule 19 Student-Attorney and Law Clerk for the Bob Parsons Veterans Advocacy Clinic, where she presented her client’s case at their Character of Discharge hearing. Her client was deemed eligible for VA benefits.
Devita was drawn to the legal profession because she wanted to help those who were failed by the system. Her education and experiences have taught her that that failure comes in many different forms. Devita’s detail-oriented nature and determination helps her build her cases. It’s important to her to listen to her clients and navigate their cases in the most efficient and effective way.
In her free time, Devita loves spending time with her family and visiting new places.
