Bernice Saka is an attorney at the Mike Slocumb Law Firm’s Washington D.C office with her practice area focused in Personal Injury Litigation. Bernice is never one to say no to a challenge and loves thinking outside the box when necessary to get the best results for her clients.
Bernice earned her Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and her Bachelor of Arts in Art History from Roanoke College (cum laude). She also received her Juris Doctor from Mississippi College School of Law. Bernice is a member of the Academic Honor Society, Phi Beta Kappa and the English Honor Society, Sigma Tau Delta. In law school, Bernice was introduced firsthand to the Personal Injury world when she clerked for an appellate judge in the Court of Appeals of the State of Mississippi. Bernice found her love for personal injury litigation when she wrote a draft opinion for a personal injury case during her time with the Court of Appeals. Bernice is licensed to practice law in the District of Columbia.
Prior to joining the Mike Slocumb Law Firm, Bernice worked as a Summer Associate tackling personal injury cases with mentorship from experienced personal injury attorneys. Bernice also worked as an Associate Attorney practicing Real Estate law with a focus in Foreclosure. Bernice knew her true calling was in Personal Injury and since then, Bernice has welcomed her personal injury roots with the goal to give each and every case the utmost effort possible.
In her free time, Bernice can be found reading, golfing, and exploring new restaurants and museums.
